The Alumni Trustee serves on the Westfield State Alumni Association Executive Council (WSAA) and the Board of Trustees concurrently, attending meetings for both organizations throughout the year. The WSAA meets 6 times a year, 5 regular meetings and 1 summer retreat. Meetings are held at the University on Saturdays from approximately 11:00am-3:00pm except for the retreat, which is held on a Saturday from 9:00am-5:00pm with the option to stay overnight. Currently, the meeting held on commencement day is held in Springfield, MA.

The Westfield State University Board of Trustees holds 5 regular meetings, annually, with others scheduled as needed. Meetings are held during the week at the University
and are comprised of committee responsibilities and a full board session.

Each member of the Board of Trustees serves on assigned committees with some members serving as chairs. The work as an alumni trustee is considered the committee work of that position for the Alumni Association Executive Council.
